Your new Safety Director, Nick Stamis, is an ex-native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he received an Associates Degree in Plastics from Aston Vo-Tech and an additional Associates Degree in Robotics/Electronics from Lincoln Tech, all while raising his two children alone.
After suffering through too many cold winters without snow for his plow business, Nick decided to move to Florida, and has been here since 1987. At age 14, Nick became a “Motor Head” (taking apart, rebuilding, & souping up his Dad’s lawn mower); by age 17 he was involved in building $50,000+ race engines for boats, cars, and racing Pro Stock drags till age 23. Today he is still involved with several race cars and teams.
Surprisingly, although he has a definite need for speed, he didn’t purchase a motorcycle until 2009, when his wife, Kat, suggested it might be a fun hobby and much faster than another Mustang hot rod. His “mistress” is a 1999 Valkyrie.
In his “spare” time, Nick is the sole proprietor of BadAssOil.com, an independent distributor of Amsoil Synthetic Products. He also has a T-1 Certification from training at Amsoil Corporate.
Nick’s two children and five grandchildren live in Illinois and Pennsylvania. At home he acts as a father figure to his feathered and furry children.
Nick is married to Kat Stamis, a semi-retired litigation paralegal.
